Paulownia Suspended Ceiling Tiles

Paulownia solid wood suspended ceiling tiles visually appear similar to Oak and are therefore ideally suited to create a more upmarket ecofriendly environment in office or commercial spaces.

A lot less expensive than Oak, Paulownia suspended ceiling tiles are light in weight (Paulownia 260kg/1m3 & Oak 704/1m3) and have excellent thermal insulation & sound dampening properties and it stains and paints well in a variety of finishes and colours.

Paulownia timber has a low flame spreading rate with an auto ignition temperature higher than 400 degrees Celsius (most hard woods 220 degrees Celsius) it carbonises easily, it is difficult to ignite and generates very little combustible gas.

We supply a full range of Paulownia suspended ceiling tiles coated in flame retarding ENVIROGRAF varnish or paint herby achieving the British Class O and Euro Class B standard spread of flame to timber substrates certification.

Paulownia is light and extremely strong and with a fire ignition point in excess of 400 degree Celsius it is ideally suited for making kitchen cabinets.

Paulownia timber is water-resistant, exceptionally stable, withstands warping, breaking and deforming.

In appearance similar to oak, Paulownia wood stains and paints well in all varieties of finishes as it is gum not resin based and give Paulownia products excellent finished surfaces.

We recommend that Paulownia wood used for kitchen cabinets is finished in either a Polyurethane or 2 pack clear lacquer.
